To all our wonderful friends, family and everyone who has been generous enough to donate to our brand-new charity….

I’m super excited to introduce you to the lovely Charlotte;

Charlotte has had one heck of a year, after a serious fall in early 2024 left her with a spinal cord injury and several other serious injuries. Now after 12 months in hospital and several surgeries Charlotte is settling into her new home and eager to get stuck into physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation – and we’re eager to help her!

Charlotte made fantastic progress during in-patient physiotherapy in hospital, managing to stand and take steps using aids and under supervision. This was no mean feat after being initially diagnosed as unlikely to ever walk again. We discussed targets and the first checkpoint Charlotte would like to reach is being able to move around short distances using a walking frame. This would massively improve her independence, confidence and general fitness. After that, the sky’s the limit!

So, roll on the end of July when the final plaster cast is removed and the hard work can commence. We will be working together to ensure Charlotte can get to a local swimming pool independently and shortly after that we will be meeting with local physiotherapists to devise a suitable treatment plan to meet her targets.
